$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('timmatoil', 'Y')ou know the U.S. economy is pretty scary when an AP report contains the words “crippled,” “worse,” “deteriorate” and “bleak.” (
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090219/ap_ ... economy_21) The Federal Reserve predicts that “unemployment could climb as high as 8.8% this year and that the economy would contract for a full calendar year for the first time since 1991.”
I'm expecting the Standard of Living to take a big hit, on the horizon, however, the Fed sees a golden dawn, with joblessness falling to 6.7% in 2011 and GDP growing by up to 5%.

The Fed is on crack. If the Fed was so smart, they would have forseen this crisis instead of enacting policies that helped cause it.
If the Fed announced that the sky was blue, I would go outside to check to see if it was changing to red.
The retiring babyboomers, imminent decline in oil production with no imminent and workable substitutes, suggests the economic "speed limit" will be much lower, and will not be enough to dig us out of this hole of debt the US has dug itself into.
An ideology is by definition not a search for TRUTH-but a search for PROOF that its point of view is right
