Ah, yes, the vertical suburbia countries (Singapore, Hong Kong), as compared to the horizontal sprawl first pioneered by good ol' USA.
Here's what one of Singapore's ministers said recently, and in direct contrast to that, I've quoted Jim Kunstler's earlier reply to me :
