$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tyler_JC', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('thuja', 'W')ell to look at the forums these days- it would be hard to see that this is a forum about...well...Peak Oil. Yeah its all connected man...but oil and energy talk sure is sparse around here these days.
Can we call this place PeakCredit.com now?
I hear ya, man.
I'm trying to merge most of the credit threads together in the Economics forum but there's no easy way to do it.
The oil discussions are few and far between.
Regardless, the credit crisis is dominating the headlines and has more impact on the future of the world than oil (or so it seems).
The two topic have linkages but it's a little tenuous.
We had a similar problem after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 but the credit mess is so massive and so dominating that it is sucking all of the light out of the room.
I actually don't really mind too much- but I guess I was surprised that there was not a single thread about peak oil. The place sure has changed. As soon as the shortages and/or inflationary period comes back we'll be back to Peak Oil talk.
For now...its the wreckage of the global economy 24/7. Pretty fun and doomery o'course.
