Took a trip to 82nd Avenue the other day to look at trucks, and saw several hookers plying their trade by the side of the road. Probably charge more than a sandwich, I imagine, but didn't get a chance to ask. Honestly, they were ugly as sin. They'd have to pay me.


The difference is that most of these women are drug addicts, whose basic needs (food, water, shelter) could [currently] be met without resorting to prostitution. They are paid quite well for a job that requires no skill. In the near future, these women will have alot of competition.

A world where a guy with a rifle, some land, and a stockpile of food gets the girl and keeps the girl. Bottom line, they won't be giving it away for free, like they do today. The basic male-female relationship throughout history has been one of prostitution, sex for security.

Regardless of how "liberated" they are, most western women will continue to attach themselves to men with means. That's how it is today, that's how it was yesterday, and that's how it'll be tomorrow. And that's probably why I don't have a wife :wink:


Are you serious? If you are I am really shocked and saddened to think that women are viewed that way. I'm sure there are women that attach themselves to men with means but is this the majority? Is this how lots of men feel?

Is this really a revelation to you? That women, generally speaking, prefer men with means? I guess I should have said they'll "try to attach themselves to men with means." Rich guys are a scarce commodity, so not everyone can win the lottery.

My coworkers are extremely liberal, about as liberal as you can get. I'll never forget when two of the women were talking, and one said it was much easier to love a rich man than a poor man. At least she was being honest, I guess....

This mindset is very widespread, but it's not terribly popular to express it out loud for fear of being labeled a "gold digger," especially among more liberal types. I used to do Match.com, and found that very few women wanted a man who made less money than they did. I'm not saying ALL women are gold diggers, but many certainly are. The majority? Don't know. I haven't dated the majority of women.

Also not saying men don't have our hang ups, too, but income ain't one of them. I'd bet I could look at men's profiles on Match.com and be hard pressed to find a single one that specifies minimum income level for their potential date. I'd guess height and weight would be more important to most men.

To know what women want, all you need do is study the track record of the men in their life. What they say they want in a man and the actual choices they make are two totally different things.
