The Dark Ages encouraged the Monastic life, men and women heading for Monasteries as both Nuns and Monks. Why? Because likely all these folks knew they could not support any children they might bring into the world.
That's not entirely correct - during this period the peoples of Northern Europe (AKA Danes or the debased term 'Vikings') built a vibrant culture & trading empire that expanded in size to (arguably) a larger area than Rome. It reached far into modern-day Russia & also as far west as Greenland and (possibly) North America.
On the lower fringes of the Danish expansion the Christainised post-Roman cultures collapsed around the monastries etc.
Unfortunately the Christians were very good (written) record-keepers but the (Pagan) 'North-men' were not, are rather they were, but it was an oral tradition and hence easily lost after post-Roman culture expanded again from its base in South/Central Europe during the middle ages.
Hence the expression 'Dark Ages' which has to be taken with a pinch of salt, once you realise who got to write the history books.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ReverseEngineer', 'S')uch Christians are of course perversions of the actual teaching of Jesus Christ, and they will Burn in Everlasting Damnation in the Fires of Hell.
Not being a Christian myself, its pretty easy to pick out Christians who are actually cognizant of the teaching of Jesus Christ,
Are you sure (grin)? You do use CaPitAls a lot (always a sure sign, in my book...)
