Alright - the only way to deal with stuff like this is the logic hammer, so here it comes. Israel was conceived of in 1947. On the heals of WWI, the state was created as a partition of exisiting Palestine to create the new soverign nation of Israel.

Israel was then immediately embroiled in a fight for survival as the surrounding Arab world refused to accept the British Mandate of Palestine in 1947, the later UN endorsement and the 1948 declaration of Israeli independance.

AIDS was first identified in 1981 in the United States in Los Angeles California.

David Pasquarelli, a US Aids activist who fought long and hard to convince others that Aids was not caused by HIV, and was jailed for his pains, has died of the Aids-related illness CMV (cytomegalovirus). He was 36.

Pasquarelli started as a conventional ACT-UP activist in his home state of Florida, but soon became convinced by the arguments of dissident scientists like Peter Duesberg that Aids was not a viral illness but an immune suppression brought about by stress, drug use, HIV medications or other factors.

In 1993 he moved to San Francisco where he and a group of denialists effectively took over ACT-UP San Francisco. The dissident group was notorious for its confrontational forms of protest which involved the pillorying of public health officials and noisy and on occasion violent disruptions of other organisations’ meetings. Pasquarelli was a talented satirist and graphic artist, producing at one point ACT-UP SF’s own cable TV programme.

Following what was said to be phoned death threats from Pasquarelli to public health officials, he was jailed for 72 days in November 2001. In good health till then, his immune system collapsed in jail and he was increasingly unwell from them on.

Although many people in ‘conventional’ HIV organisations detested Pasquarelli for his frequently libellous attacks on their work and motives, there was unease in some quarters that jailing an activist like Pasquarelli for sincerely-held beliefs was using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Opinion on David’s death was predictably outraged in the tribute book organised for his website. Some praised his work exposing the ‘AID$ Myth’. Others said that Pasquarelli had done valuable work exposing self-serving exaggerations of the true epidemiology of Aids in San Francisco and challenging the salaries given to some HIV workers.

And others said he was motivated as much by attempting to combat the stigma attached to anal sex as he was to combating conventional theories on Aids.

He is survived by his partner Steve Huggins, who is giving donations in David’s memory to the Aids Emergency Fund, San Francisco’s HIV hardship programme.

I’m not for stopping people from having casual sex, I’m simply saying, that upon a personal level sex is something that you should only have with someone you truly love.
However, straight and gay couple should check themselves out before having sex.

But anyhow this one isn't STD related, apparently the spike is about a surge in IV drug use and dirty needles. The God Fearing, Bible thumping governor canceled the clean needle program. Now he says he's putting it back in place for 30 days.

And all over the midwest, it's been going on for years -- first everyone was hooked on their pills, "oxy," and then when the pill mills got cracked down on, all the pill junkies had to turn to HEROIN because that became easier to get than pain pills.

The AIDS problem in Indiana is related to heroin, and the heroin problem is ultimately Big Pharma's fault for mass marketing their pain pills and getting so many people onto oxy and all that, to start with.

And then lastly, Indiana is too bible thumper religious and that's like Utah or some such, and a lot of problems just get swept under the rug and not talked about, and heaven forbid schools have any sex ed, etc. etc. Anyhow, just my two cents. If you don't want AIDS pandemics, then government has to EDUCATE young people. Sex ed, and drugs. And gov has to be on top of the drug problem, can't just ignore it.

You also can't just pass a law saying businesses can descrminate against and deny service to Christians that don't meet up to some Christians' denominational views, that doesn't help anything either.

P.S. a lot of states have and are gonna have this heroin problem, and then more HIV, and the blame is really on Big Pharma. So there's gonna need to be methadone clinics and all that. Nobody likes the idea of that, I know, but it is what it is and a lot of people are hooked on opiates and that's why they go to heroin if they can't get the oxy anymore.

It's Big Pharma's fault, they should pay for the methadone clinics. That, or have an organized program to wean people off the oxy and such. You just take it away cold turkey and they turn to heroin.

Good summary Six of some of the social problems here in the US and goodness we have a fair share of them. Basically my political views are very left leaning so you know how I feel about those conservative Christian Midwest values . That religious freedom law is essentially legal discrimination. But I digress now to the subject of aids, yes this is but one negative outcome of the so called war on drugs whereby we can sell many types of drugs legally but a few are arbitrarily deemed illegal. Pain killers contain some sort of morphine-heroin type ingredients yet they are legal. Well this was an accident waiting to happen. The whole war are drugs is just such a dismal and pathetic subject that it just does not make one wish to talk about it. War on Drugs utter failure is what I will say.

Sometimes we forget that AIDS is a virus, and viral infections have never in the history of medicine been "cured". There are two approaches to treating viral infections, neither of which are particularly helpful in treating an active AIDS infection.

The first treatment is vaccination. This involves finding a related but less serious virus that the patient can be deliberately infected with and survive. The natural antibodies that the patient's body produces are effective at preventing a re-infection of the original virus, and also provide lesser resistance to the closely related but lethal virus. The classic case was the original smallpox vaccine, people are infected with and almost all survive cowpox, becoming immune to both cowpox and smallpox. However the cells targeted by the AIDS virus are the very immune system cells which produce the needed antibodies - and all the AIDS-related viruses tried so far, including a dozen-odd simian viruses, have significant human casualty rates of their own, it makes no sense to deliberately infect someone with such a weaker strain of immunodeficiency virus.

The second approach to treating an AIDS infection is the use of antiviral drugs. This is why the Doctor advises you to take TamiFlu and similar antiviral drugs when fighting off the influenza virus - such drugs boost your immune system with specific chemical nutrients. Antiviral drugs are the actual basis for "AIDS cocktails", and antiviral AIDS research is focussed on finding more effective drugs. But if an infected person has advanced to the stage where they have actual symptoms from the AIDS infection, the drugs are far less effective. This is why periodic AIDS screenings are so important - antivirals are most effective at preserving the immune cells if treatment begins before they are damaged.

But the way things stand, unless a significant breakthrough is made and an entirely new third treatment for the AIDS virus is found, everybody who has the virus will die from it, and can spread it to other people in the meantime. New theories exist, one such is that we may soon be able to build tiny nanite robots that can enter infected cells and destroy them before the AIDS virus turns that cell into a virus replicator. Nothing wrong with the theory, but such technology is decades away if it is ever in fact feasible.

Effective AIDS treatments involve identifying infected people early, and preventing further spread of the disease. Decades of research on AIDS and other viral illnesses have not produced any viable new third alternative to treating viruses. Not exactly "ravaging the planet", but still a serious enough concern. There are for example, governments in African countries where they tell the Black citizens that AIDS is a myth - or a disease deliberately inflicted on them by the Whites. Such lies are propagated when such a government does not want to admit White doctors or to devote resources to combatting the spread of the virus. These are genocidal lies committed by power-seeking racial demagogues - and the same lies have been spoken in the USA as well, by some of our own racial demagogues. All available evidence leads to the inclusion that the AIDS virus evolved in simian populations in the African jungles.
