$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kam3Oen', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')econdly, please don't think that I'm just pulling $75k out of my pocket like that. I've been saving for this for many years. Some people buy a bigger house, or a second car, I didn't. I saved to buy a ticket to Everest.
I went to Nepal in 2004, it's one of the cheapest countries on earth. The visa from the Indian border cost me 15 dollars and I spent an average of 10 dollars a day for the 2 weeks I was there. But if you can spend 75 thousand dollars in Nepal, I salute you. Make sure to pay it all in advance.
Well, sadly all that money goes straight into the pockets of the Nepali government, because you pay for climing permits.
The money we spend on sherpas and local food/hotels is the only money that goes to Nepalis.
We hope the Nepali government spends the big money we hand them for the permit, well.
