Sorry guys can't agree. Barney Frank will be scrambling to cover his own ass, while Pelosi is busy arranging television coverage of the interrogations on Capitol Hill.

Hell, yes. let's get out the spotlights and turn over the rocks. I'm ready for a good show.

I could care less if it makes a difference or not. I just want to see people squirm.

Its not just Barney. There is Dodd, Kerry, Obama. There is Bennett, Davis, Bond. Both parties were in the pool.

These "hearings" seem like one giant circle jerk if you ask me. Nothing will come of them. The horses left and congress is now trying to shut the barn door....oopps! 8O Were was congress the previous decade when Glass Steagall was repealed and lending standards were loosened?

She's already set a record for the lowest confidence ever in a US congress. Maybe's she's trying to hit a home run all the way to 0% approval! lol

They're probably preparing for the report from the IMF Audit findings ca. 2010. You know, the one Bush okayed as long as it didn't get published until he left office.

I'm sure the democrats are hoping to do their little song and dance and try to burn the republicans at the stake. If they "investigate" now, they can say it's Bush's fault. If they wait until the report comes out, they risk obama getting blamed for it because of timing. <WWF Announcer Voice>That is, of course, _assuming_ The Obamanation can beat McSame and Miss 'Merica in The Octagon</WWF Announcer Voice> (Wednesday at 7:00, 6:00 central)

I don't want my money wasted on this crap Pelosi. We already know who's responsible for this - follow the money. Oops. Um, you have a benjamin stuck to your hoof.

We've been getting bent over a barrel for the last 30 years while the republicrats take their turns. Silly me - thinking those lobbyists you're complicit to don't have my best interest at heart!

Actually - I have a great idea. Let's use those matching funds you get for your campaign every time you run. Even better, how about you pay it back and we'll piddle on the AIG fire with it. Should help a little. Looking on the FEC Website, I see the parties raised and spent almost $933 million for their congressional campaigns (not counting PACs). I also see you people accepted $927 million in Federal Matching funds. My my - How generous of all we little surfs! Good thing you guys passed some laws for yourselves so you could [s]take[/s] give yourself that (our) money. You also incurred $87.6 millon in debt to run your campaigns (on top of the money you raised and got from us). Is that all paid off? Was that on your credit card, your HELOC - kids student loans? Altogether you spent $2.1 billion including the $180 million in cash you all had lying around. Did that $180 million happen to come from pork-barrel deals to your own businesses? Country Club buddy's businesses? "Loans" from your spouses you repay $1 a year on? Nm, that's in the "debt" column, Hmm?

I kinda want to add up the numbers for the senate, and at the same time, I kinda don't.

Gee - weren't you going to take control of congress, make a positive change, root out corruption, stop the war, stand up for civil rights? That _was_ in your campaign platform. I wish someone would give me a $2.1 billion signing bonus for a job I was free to completely fail at (and did). That _is_ what that money went for - a big "discresionary fund" you threw a disgusting popularity party with. [s]Dinner parties[/s] meals, hotels, parties, [s]hookers[/s] aids, [s]designer[/s] buisness cloths, [s]vacations[/s] campaign trips.

"The Honorable" just sticks in my throat. All I see are pigs at the tit.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AlexdeLarge', 'B')otox Pelosi wont do squat. She is just shooting off her mouth until she gets another fix.

I hope someone will call for a special prosecutor!!! But they won't because both sides of the aisle are up to their ears in this crap. You can't investigate the Republicans without bringing in the Dems. So they will agree to cover each others arse!!

+1. That's from Brazil if I'm not mistaken.

Someone was remarking on Bush's astoundingly low approval rating among blacks, at the low margin of error it seemed to suggest more people hated him then were in existence, like he was being dissed by fetuses and the dead! Maybe it was the Dickmeister. (hey, my spell checker doesn't say that's a typo! ) God knows how far in the basement Congress has sunk.

Hearings? Sure, send over some subpoenas, they make good toilet paper. Hey, we've hit an iceberg, better hold some committee investigations!

Botox Pelosi opens her hole

Unread postby AlexdeLarge » Mon 29 Sep 2008, 17:35:09

"Only Nancy Pelosi could come up with a bill that even her own party can't support, and a presentation so bad that the opposition (whose votes she needs) also gives her a thumbs down. This woman is stupid on stilts."

If the idiots in congress are looking for someone to blame, they only need look in a mirror.

I thought the blame on CSPAN was pretty entertaining! Republicans saying it failed like it was a bad thing. Saying Pelosi was so bad at selling it; it's Obama's fault for calling in his vote. Democrats saying Republicans killed it because of golden parachute controls. I was seriously WTFing at some of the contradictions.

Public's outraged, Republicans kill it. I don't see a problem here. Take a bow if you voted against it. Go clean the egg off your face and start packing your sh*t if you supported it.

Finally, something we agree on Alex.

Of a thousand burning bridges
Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS
