I admit I thought Iran was going to be bombed by now. When they were all talking about how 3 carriers were in the gulf I thought that it was about to happen. Doh! I also thought that the market was gonna crash last month , the fact it didn't convinced me that TPTB learned their lessons from '29 and '87 and are now in complete control of the stock market. What have I done ? admittedly not enough . I'll offer my pitiful excuses for activism and you may belittle them as you see fit . I vote , I fax and e-mail my reps and other reps that sit on key commitees to try to give them what I feel is an under-appreciated viewpoint , the liberal-progressive viewpoint . I try to educate those around me about what's going on in the world and our government , I encourage the people I know to get involved with the democratic process . I've said here before that I like to believe that I would do much more , be willing to sacrifice much more if I didn't have the welfare of two children to worry about. Wether I would actually have the courage and determination to completely commit to an activist life , I don't know. I like my comfortable existance. What do you suppose the chances are that the federal government, with state and local law enforcement along for the ride, might be setting up "apocalypse prep" websites in order to identify which of its citizens might have useful skills and resources, which they can appropriate by conscripting you and stealing your stuff? It's been suggested that the federals might be monitoring websites such as PO.com. But perhaps they actually operate websites very similar to PO.com. Very similar, indeed. And maybe there's more than one of them, each aimed at a different target audience. One for intellectuals. One for the Concerned Homemakers of America. One for rebel patriots. And so on.

Yes, this is a conspiracy theory. But conspiracies are the rule in our world, not the exception. So, what do you think? Might a few of these forums be tricks to get you to reveal more about your preps and your talents than might be wise?
