Last i checked, gasoline was still $3.75, only $.25 off the record high here... Food prices haven't come down in the grocery store...i was there last night? My bills all look the same? Visa hasn't sent me anything regarding lower rates?

:) Must be gouging and speculation.

I'm with you Frank. Lots of stuff here still pretty darn expensive and gas is still 3.75-3.80/gal.

It will probably come down a bit but we are being conditioned to think 3-3.50 is a "bargain". When it goes back up again the new bargain will be 4-4.25. Silly humans have such short memories.

Two steps forward, one step back. The march continues on. When this old plateau starts the downslope is anyones guess, but it sure is looking like the downward trend is coming instead of some long term increase in production.

We will be forced into using less, it wont be voluntary. Thats why things will suck. We prove it every day.

The price of oil fell and the Russian currency soared today after Moscow claimed to have ordered a halt to the military action in Georgia.

Crude had jumped amid concerns about disruption to Western oil supplies from the conflict near the crucial Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline but this afternoon it fell back to three-month lows.

London Brent crude was down 87 cents a barrel at $111.80 while New York was $1.03 lower at $113.42.Link

This must be very dissapointing for you JD, since you have always said that we need high prices and you welcome them
