$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PenultimateManStanding', 'T')he grandpa sleeping at the wheel is a good one. Gallows humor. But on a more serious note, I'm thinking instantaneous vaporization in a thermonuclear blast would be merciful. Sure beats a slow protracted death by disease or starvation. Death by dehydration would be even worse. COC prohibits discussion of other options.
So we can't say that we'd prefer to be drawn and quartered, boiled in oil, hung by the neck, burned at the stake, and beheaded?
Has any of you read "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin? One of his characters, a dwarf named Tyrion Lannister, was asked the question in this thread's title, and his answer is better than any of those I've seen here. Unfortunately, the COC won't let me reproduce it, probably not even in paraphrase.
