$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('burtonridr', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('SoylentGreen', 't')aking action? and all the countries in world only allowed 1 child per couple ,no further action would be needed except a moritorium on personal vehicles that get less than 30 mpg unless you are a contractor , farmer or hauler etc.
I agree 1 child per couple would be great, there are to many people on this planet unfortunately. What are you doing about it? Written any letters? Talked to any organizations for support?

Well I am from a large family and I have taken action by having no children and I don't think it is a right or even a necessary experience for every woman..... people who have lots of kids and think its ok if they are able to clothe and feed them etc.... often neglect the wider aspect of that child actually being a real person who has to make their own way in the world.

Large families are hell.

Here is a link to a list of things the sierra club is currently supporting, I'm not sure I agree with everything they stand for, however they do a lot of good.

This is an important one, I'm sure everyone here is familiar with mountaintop removal coal mining. Right?
If you are not familiar with it, here is a short film: link

And here is the link to the sierra club website, they have a form that is easy to fill out and sends an email directly to you local and national representatives. Click Here

Everyone here should go to this website and send a letter, we all know what coal will do to our environment. Please tell everyone you know to support the clean water protection act.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('burtonridr', 'H')as anyone here heard of this Organization? NRDC or Natural Resource Defense Council
They have a website that makes it very easy to help show your support to legislation changes and things: link

NRDC is a good organization. A friend of mine used to be a director there. There is A LOT of coalition activity getting ready to put forth platforms and legistlation on various fronts. This in anticipation of the change in administration.

One such is the T4 America campaign: link It has a very broad participation from lots of interests which I think may give it a chance of having an impact.

All you've done is assure the extinction of one genetic line that thinks just like you. That's the problem with birth control; within a few generations everyone will adore children and want as many of them as possible.

Only government control of reproduction will solve the long-term problem.

Warm and fuzzy slogans tend to cover up harsh realities. Be careful of the unintended consequences of the support you give to people and organizations that blanket the media with flashy placards and high sounding slogans. Any sane person wants to save the environment. Remember, the German people voted for a politician who wanted to end unemployment reverse the trends of industrialization and return his people to a simpler farm life. He didn’t smoke. He never cheated on his wife. He drank modestly. He rarely ate meat. He loved children and dogs.

The German people yearned for a leader that would return them to a position of self respect. He was considered young, bold and dynamic. He was seen as an agent of change. He was a departure from the old and promised the German people something new. He led his country to a position of unprecedented power and prestige. He shattered world conventions.

When he was done; he was responsible for the deaths of millions, his nation was in ruins and its women were whoring themselves in the streets for a crust of bread.

Stuff that. 'We all know' that coal powered electricity is going to be absolutely required while we change over from oil-powered transport to electrical powered transport, whether that take the shape of electric cars, trains, bikes, scooters or whatever else takes your fancy. Petitioning against coal is petitioning against electricity, quite a stupid idea.

We live in a democracy, so someone will be elected regardless. I'd rather vote for somebody advocating a change from existing policies in a situation where those policies are in the process of failing. Change is seldom comfortable and sometimes downright risky, but also sometimes necessary. Also, its a fallacious argument to conclude that all leaders arguing for change have sinister motives based on the actions of one.
