Here are over 500 pages of people giving the hummer H2 the finger. Scroll down for the pics:

Anyone dumb enough to get the H3 deserves what they get. It's just a silverado with a bunch of junk on it anyway.

Maybe this will push GM off the edge.

That will suck. I shorted GM in the high 30's and will have to pay lots of tax when the stock is finally de-listed.

Couple gun turrets mounted up top... maybe a flame thrower... go marauding for fuel... sweet. Mad Max time.

I'm not trying to defend GM but the truth is:

The H3 hummer is smaller than

the original H1 hummer

not to get off topic but...
I think the GM chevy volt will not be produced.
The company won't be around in 2010.

They'll be around, but rebadged as Toyota, and driven by the Chinese.

Quick! Call Jack White from The White Stripes and have him write the music from that. Could probably be the B-Side to The Big Three Killed my Baby! Wasn't GM supposed to be spinning the Hummer franchise? I read that somewhere!

The whole 'truck as personal transportation' meme needs to die.

I agree, when I see fools at work driving double cab 4x4 1 ton trucks to work as a commuting car I cringe. These are the people that also complain that gas is so expensive, go figure

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Roy', 'I') don't call that a pickup. I notice most newer pickups have a 4 foot beds on them. Old pickups were built to work. They did not have fancy interiors. They had long beds. The new trucks are have been cissified and are just glorified cars with high towing capacities. I'd love to see any new 1/2 ton pickup carry the amount of oak rounds that my old 82 Ford F-100 brought home for me last week.
I don't really like driving trucks. They make shitty cars. Cars are much more comfortable, efficient, agile, and safe. The whole 'truck as personal transportation' meme needs to die. Pickups can be highly useful but they suck as passenger haulers in my opinion. This vehicle is just another truck/car. How much wood do you think would fit in that tiny little bed? The point is that if I'm going to use a vehicle that gets less than 15 mpg, then it had better be able to have some serious utility, which the H3/H2 SUT's do not. What a joke...

I used have to drive a truck for a living ... I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to drive one for fun. They are slow, cumbersome and uncomfortable. They chew through the gas and suck badly when it comes to braking and cornering. Finding a parking spot for an oversize vehicle is near impossible.
Honestly if you don't need an off road vehicle and you buy this sort of thing then you need your head read.

Go Buy that Big SUV!

Unread postby goldsbar » Thu 06 Nov 2008, 20:58:41

I've already noticed how much faster everyone is driving. When prices were high, people were talking about how attitudes were changed for good. I highly doubt it. My guess is that if there wasn't a big recession (ignore the oil price link for arguments sake) SUV sales would be through the roof again. Then when people and prices figure out there's a oil peak again they'll all be crying for help claiming they didn't see it coming.

History always repeats itself, but it's a particularly fast cycle with oil.

GM's getting a $25,000,000,000 bailout from Ooobs. You're buying SUV's whether U want to or not, so U might as well drive a few.

yeah..

where I work, just before a meeting, I heard a woman say "woo-hoo!! gas just hit (somewhere near $2)!!!!

and another said "Kewl! now my husband can stop taking the bus"
IOW, they feel that we're finally back to "normal."

shows how effective the fiction is that oil prices are strictly a function of what the playaz are doing to the markets.
