$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Heineken', 'Z')ardoz, be nice! Those are just expressions.
Plane trips are remarkably safe, but they can leave psychic scars, esp. these days.
I'll never forget a landing I once made in New Orleans. There was a terrible thunderstorm, and the plane kept circling and bucking like a bronco. It was night. I thought I was a goner.
Oh gosh, I've been on a flight like that before. I was coming back from New York to Ft. Lauderdale (at nighttime as well) and we got boxed in by thunderstorms just off the east coast of Florida. For 40 long minutes, it was like being on a wild-ass bronco ride, with lightening flashing all around, etc. And I knew the plane only had so much reserve fuel to burn...
Also, I couldn't move my right arm for most of that time, as the poor guy next to me was holding on with a vice grip...and he was not letting go...LOL. Never in my life had I seen someone be so utterly, mortally terrified. As far as I went, let's just say that I have a whole lot of faith in the ability of airline pilots to get me there safely.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide...
...and the meek shall inherit the Earth!
