$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')A short list of the likely pathogens in car exhaust:
* Carbon Monoxide
* Nitrogen dioxide
* Sulphur dioxide
* Suspended particles including PM-10, particles less than 10 microns in size.
* Benzene
* Formaldehyde
* Polycyclic hydrocarbons
It really brings into question the health benefits of riding a bike to school or work when you get stuck behind one of these death traps, spewing their toxins right into your air. I just try to sit on side opposite the exhaust and breathe lightly at stops.
Riches are not from abundance of worldly goods, but from a contented mind.

Thats all very interesting, but car exhaust is not oil.
I agree that car exhaust is harmful to health, but so is almost everything else when its combusted. Try barbecuing a steak over a fire, and you'll generate some carcinogens (and even some evil PM-10 soot!).
Curiously and amusingly, Sen. Harry Reid claims oil makes people sick. I don't know if he drinks it or rubs it on his skin, but there he is blathering on about oil being a health hazard.
Surely Sen. Reid can tell the difference between car exhaust and oil?
