$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('syrac818', 'I') think we'll see a little pullback in oil. A 13% rise in two days based on a Morgan Stanley prediction and dollar devaluation?

However we will test and eventually break these price levels. It's wild out there.

There's so much money to be made in these times. I'm always a little surprised why there isn't a section on here where we can just brag about how much cash we've raked in on this. Instead it's just another rant about doom that is sure to be upon us. The doom that was sure to be upon us since I arrived here in 2004.

So many posts about how people are feeling the economic effects peak oil or they are having trouble feeding their family and how it's the early stages of it all..... I kind of feel bad for you, and I kind of want to slap the crap out of you. Knowledge is opportunity, and for those who have been peak oil aware for the past 3, 4, 5+ years you've had so much opportunity.

The world will go on people. This is life at $130/barrel oil - we are at the price point that so many feared would bring about the ultimate economic apocalypse.... and here we are.

I'm not saying it'll all progress smoothly. I'm just saying it's not black and white. It's not the suburban piggish, greedy, American lifestyle or hordes of starving mobs. There's a lot of gray area in there - and a lot of room to adapt, manuever and profit. The wave is coming, no question, but you got to move with it.

You can go live on Easter Island too lol ...

We're on one big Easter Island now. I think the S will HTF some time in 2009, maybe 2010, when we fall off the plateau.

It's a wierd place to be now.

I just hope the economy holds up for a year or two more.

No, we are not even close.... this is the $2trillion that was lent to dead people and prisoners during the mortgage orgy of 2005-2006 and has been stinking up balance sheets ever since.....
BDC or Bad Debt Contagion is 100% lethal and if you have it you will die.... WAMU and JP are in the hair-trigger and it's not looking good. Hank's bank will never fail... TPTB's bank of choice.
Stop worrying about silly wall street, that's not where the action begins... when troops start to move...here or over there.. that's when you need to start covering up to avoid getting hit with the sh-t.

This is that first lap around the track, you know, before the race begins?

Perhaps a better analogy is "pre-cum."

So much SHTF on Wall Street that one can no longer see the fan.

I still get the impression we have been told a series of car bombs have gone off in front of BS, F & F, Lehman, etc., etc., when really we have already been hit by a nuclear detonation in the middle of our financial system.

It's over. We all have to pick up the bill for $2 trillion in mortgage related losses. Of course the housing bubble was the PTB antedote to reduced oil availability and high energy prices. It was never going to work that long.
It's already over, now it's just a matter of adjusting.

My Lord,

How about we all keep the analogies above the belt from here on out? OK?

I really don't want to roust all the Mods to discuss that topic.

Thanks.
