I go to an American High School...
Most popular: amphetamine, fluoxetine, sertraline
The happiest (acting), most smiley person I know is on fluoxetine... I don't know why.
Side story about amphetamine (adderall):
I was at a study "party" last semester with a few people attempting to cram for a big geology exam.
It was getting late and we were starting to lose focus.
One of our group members decides that he needs a study aid. He proceeds to take an adderall, crush it into a powder, and snort it off of his geology book using a rolled up dollar bill...this was in a public library.
I'm not a medical doctor, but I have a feeling that insuffilation is not the recommended administration technique of that particular substance.
"Study Drug" abuse is high on college campuses and it often goes unreported. Binge drinking and recreational drug use get all of the headlines, but the number of people who routinuely use ritalin and adderal (legally or illegally) to maintain their GPAs is scary.
