And my parents were teenagers in the first years of the Great Depression. I know that we can survive tough times, as long as we're careful and prudent and don't panic. Its very encouraging to hear that my husband is not the only annoyed spouse! I have quite the lineup of the large white buckets with flour, wheat, sugar, beans, etc, canned foods that have to be hauled to the basement storage area every week, usually by my husband. I just remind him that he likes to eat so its worth the little extra effort and yes he would rather have a nice perfect green lawn in the backyard rather than my garden that is growing like a jungle. Wait till he sees the several bushels of green beans and cucumbers I've ordered from a local farmer that is going to deliver to my office tomorrow.....(I might be blogging from the dog house tomorrow night-hopefully the wireless connection will work).
