I'm from Singapore, home to vertical suburbia :

Image

... and also home to the most expensive ordinary cars on the planet - where Honda Civic's cost US$50K and Nissan Sunny's cost US$40K.

... population density, over 6000 people / sq. km. Don't come to Singapore and expect to take refuge from peak oil  - Malaysia, New Zealand or Finland might be better bets.

Most of the time I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA:
A population of only 2.5 million but is spread out over a 60mile radius. sUbUrBiA hEaVeN:

Some of the time Manila, Phillippines:

Population of 12 million... but still lots of suburbia. But it ACTUALLY has WORKING mass public transport!

I'm from Singapore too. Currently seeking to take refuge away from this over-crowded island. This place is a classical place to blow when TSHTF.
