I am a peak oil aware artist.
I had to endure instructors during school who had bought into the abstract expressionism bullshit, the obtuse language that props it up, and the inherent sexist values that condemned anything emotional or feminine. Despite all this, I held true to my vision and have been a self supporting artist for many years now.
There
is good art art being made today. You just have to dig to find it.
