Seriously, when oil is going up they flail and talk about the oil crisis. The next day it goes down a buck or three and they give an all clear and a search result for "oil news" turns up news that oil has "fallen", "slipped", "tumbled", "dipped"...then everyone acts surprised the next day when it starts going back up again with a "surge", "jump", "rise", "leap"...
It goes up and people start accepting that things might need to change (sort of) then they go down and everyone seems to take this big sigh of relief and say "well, that sure was scary...I thought for a minute we should actually do something!"
What is the psychology of the market and the media? Schizoid?
It's a bird! It's a bubble! It's a Super Surge! Weeeeeeeeeeee!
It's like "the sky is falling the sky is falling! What will we do when the sky falls?" then "ooh, something shiny" and back to usual then another round of "the sky is falling"....
WTF?
Meanwhile, other parts of the news media are too busy picking apart the champaign trail errr....I mean campaign trail...trying to figure out if Barack bumped, punched, or thumped or dapped or whatever his wife's fist...or if McCain really is old....
Gahh.....
This world is nucking futts!
