mother picked it out and its easy to remember.
sister gave me my middle name from a popular comic book character

I've use nRT many times, just not around here. It would be derived from my last name as used in the Ideal Gas Law: PV=nRT

I tried to cut into a couple of different aspects of my personality. A Cur is a kind of dog raised in various parts of the mid south (where I was raised). It is a good over all dog. A good cur should be able to hunt, protect its people, be loyal and smart. They are also have the tendency to be as ugly as all get out.

I am in and will ride out the future in Wisconsin. A state that carries a very different set of typical populace than southern Il. I am more at home here in many ways but I know that I am and always will be a cur. I guess those things make me a "Wisconsin Cur"

I do own a dog that is half cur (the other half is Jack Russell). The other dog in the picture we picked out of a levy just South of Thebes Il on a trip to see family. She is a cur in her own right as well.

Because I am one!
At maturity, they are as smart as a human 5 yo. They are trainable as dogs, as independent as cats, funny as monkeys; they don't ask for anything from their human guardians but respect and an hour or two of companionship/play per day. They are quiet (except when they are happy and they dook & dance), but, they learn to communicate with us.
They are peaceful and comforting and everything joyful.

I have lived and worked in several countries, hence the name.

it's an acronym of Zen Simple User Interaction, a free software project that I've tagged as "pie in the sky"... which means I will not make it.

I will like to change it to anagami, <3 how it sounds...

I have three 8, 5 and 2 and have been feeling the same way. Maybe we should start a thread. "How do you prepare your kids for this?" "How do you stay optimistic about their future?"

We do have a number of threads about this!

Oh...and my name comes from the idea that all I have to do is get through one more day.

It's an old family name. I first used it as a handle in early 2001 posting about oil dependency and urban planning on a Washington Post forum.

It also turns out that Dino is my favorite Flinstones character.

AuctionMonster - A auction website I started up before I found out about peak oil and then used it as my monikor

EvilMonkeySpanker -- Not really sure why I picked this, but it popped up into my noggin and I like it

Cynicalheretic - Who I really am and wished I had the name back, because I miss it.

Jasonraymondson - Jason, my older dead brother - Raymond -- My grandfather - Son, which references my dad who is the son of Raymond.

Jason Raymondson, was going to be my bugout name when I decided to disapear. But since I have used it online, I can no longer use it as my new identity. I picked it out 12 years ago when i first started thinking about disapearing and getting off the grid.

I moved from the city to the farm country just beyond the
outer suburb ring in high school but within it's school
district. I was quiet and the rich kids assumed I was
a farmer, which suited me fine, and they called me
farmer, and since I have worked with circuits and software
continuously since 1974, I earned my "e".

I do some growing and gardening now, but most
of my plantings are tongue in cheek, and in the
fertile soil of PO.

I got the idea for my name after I began finding out about peak oil and saw all the environment sites were full of liberals. And I thought, us conservatives need to know this stuff too, but they'll never go to a liberal site. I better make one.

So I pondered a good name for the blog for a few days and this one just came to me. I thought it was clever. :)
