$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('GASMON', 'F')ew months ago I was doing 50 in a 30 zone. Didn't notice the police car behind me. On come the lights & sirens. When stopped, officer asked "what's the rush ?", I instantly apologised, didn't try any excuses, admitted my offence, expected the consequences.
Well, after a 10 minute talk on the dangers of speeding, fully safety checking my car, computer checking my licence, car insurance etc, officer gave me a "verbal", and bid me good day.
There's good uns 'n bad uns in all walks of life.
Gasmon
Gasmon, are you implying that the cop in your example was a "good cop"?
Sorry... kissing a cops ass and getting out of a ticket makes the same example of the individual referenced in this thread re: going to jail for not using a turn signal. Only it's on the opposite end of the spectrum.
How you treat a cop when he arrests/detains/writes you a ticket should have little precedent in the punishment you get. Obviously there are exceptions such as "Aggravated" punishments
You commit a crime and you do the time.
If you're a blond with big tits, it doesn't mean you're immune to punishment. If you're a minority it doesn't mean you go to jail.
Crime = Punishment. That is what society expects.
I'm not trying to flame you I'm just saying that bad cops are cops who allow their emotions to get involved in their job.
Yep it's tough but it's part of the job.
