$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dinopello', 'T')hat sucks, threadbear. Any idea who is doing it and/or what for ? Is it development, or harvesting the wood for material or something else ?
Half acre lot, bordering parkland. The new owner is clear cutting it so he can "open it up" and make it more attractive for resale. People from Alberta think everyone loves a stump farm. They call it "big sky" country.
We have another neighbour down the street who bought a gorgeous little log cabin, tucked in behind old growth, that she decided to butcher. Turns out she's "afraid of the trees" Well hell, go back to the burbs, move to a desert, pave your place over, just make sure, you entomb yourself in the concrete, when you do it.
This is rage talking. My neighbour is a dear woman. But where do people get their aesthetic sense, for one? And what about the wind dynamics when you start altering landscapes in this way? She cuts her trees down, and her other neighbour's trees, end up blowing down.
