$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AWPrime', 'G')enetics only regulate individual susceptibility. Your own behavior is making you fat.
LOL, yep, too true. Still, I think the damage we're doing to our health with toxic food exacerbates the problem.
On another note: while I once felt it was completely unfair that some individuals stayed skinny despite little exercise and high-fat diets...I actually think I've got the better genes. I need far fewer calories to maintain weight and good health. Any additional calories INSTANTLY add to my weight.
That's actually a good thing to pass on. These times of abundance can't last indefinitely.
Naturally fat people in our society are more the norm because putting on weight with excess caloric intake is the norm. It is an advantage in ALL but the most abundant of circumstances.
Now, I'm not advocating being FAT, because I think there is a moral/health concern in BEING fat....BUT I think the ability to store fat is healthy....if that makes sense.
Some of my family members suffered greatly in the depression because she was/is one of those naturally skinny people who can eat anything and never gain. The naturally heavier ones, meanwhile, where better off. Oddly enough.
