$118.47

That's it, been a long day over here in Singapore, 11.28pm my side. I'm probably going to wake up to yet another overnight record as NYMEX continues its run.

118$ is cheap oil.
Less cheap, but still cheap.

Planes are flying, SUV rolling, heavy bodybuilded guys and Hugely fat women walking in the local Wallmart.
Everything is fine.
Not for long, but fine yet.

Yep, business as usual still...

How high does it have to get before that changes??!

This has been debated. Most believe that between $300 and $500 we should start seeing some changes. I might venture not much will happen up to a 4 digit oil...

I'm beginning to see some demand destruction - namely wayyyy less traffic between the afternoon rush hour and the morning rush hour. But I live in a small city.

I'm thinking the psychological barrier will be $5 per gallon gas. Or when a gallon matches the minimum wage.

I am in Houston, TX and I see the same thing. Less traffic in rush hours. More people in bus stops more than ever before that I have seen. Not only disabled or teenagers but mid aged people as well.

$119.92,

will it go over $120 before tomorrow's inventory report?

What if the numbers are crappy?

$125?

$130?

This could be run up in expectation of a crappy report. If the numbers tomorrow are good then we could see a real quick drop back

What if it is NOT an expectation of a crappy report and we actually do get a crappy report? $125+

If it is a good report then I see $108-

well if things are worse then expected then you'll see our favorite wednesday activitity of a very fast minor increase in price then a slow and gradual decrease in price followed by an end of day rally to close out about 1% higher then it started.

At least that is what I've noticed on every report day for the last few months.

I agree except this week we have actually gotten some bad news about several supply disruptions which has been bullish on the price thus far. Another big drop in inventories could scare Wall Street even more.

Nothing ever goes straight up. Even if the numbers are crappy expect it to go down. That is just the way markets work. Expect it to go down to $105 to $110 and everyone call it cheap and then we go higher and stay above $120.
