That's hard to know, but I would suspect that filters and definitely
distillation should have a positive effect at removing these
contaminants. Though nothing is perfect for example, certain dyes
are difficult to remove though distillation.

Bottlers, some of which simply repackage tap water, do not typically treat or test for pharmaceuticals, according to the industry's main trade group. The same goes for the makers of home filtration systems.
