My wife and I consider ourselves aficionados of the Sci-Fi genre.
This is a list of our favorites. It excludes all the "well, duh"
choices, such as: Star Wars, Star Trek, Kubrick's work, Planet of
the Apes, or Close Encounters of the Third kind. Nor does it
include any of the more modern series classics like Mad Max,
X-Men, Terminator, Predator, Robocop, Tremors, Men in Black,
Jurassic Park, Starship Troopers, Alien, or Matrix.
These are all great.
We tend to enjoy more mainstream sci-fi. We have seen many
sci-fi b-movies and they just don't carry the weight that a good
studio film can offer.
