$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('threadbear', 'T')he best one was a guy sitting on the end of the couch, staring at me, in a completely indifferent way, dressed in full Edwardian dress, fob watch, tweeds, and all. Because he was so clear, I actually spent the 10 seconds he was there observing the twisting nature of the tweed in his jacket and doing a thread count. I'm not convinced these are all what we call "hallucinations" They seem to be partly independant of me and partly dependant, as if they need my mind, or something is using my mind to project the image or thing back to me. I would call it omnijective, for lack of better words.

Did you watch "2001: A Space Odyssey" earlier that evening?

I haven't seen much (except for the times with the mushrooms), but I'm a sensitive type, so I receive impressions and future events sometimes. I often have dreams that tell me things I want or need to know.

I dreamed about living in the place I do now years ago when living across the country and knew nothing about this place. I was told in dreams the gender of my child and the day it would be born.

A long time ago, I was hanging out with another guy while my then boyfriend was away working. Suddenly I had a strong flash that he was on his way back unexpectedly and made the other guy leave. The boyfriend turned up about a half-hour later, I think he sprained an ankle or something.

Once I was with my DH in a local pub. He was watching TV and I watched the people casually. I kept picking up on something and I told him specifically, "something is going to happen". He probably didn't think much of it, but awhile later, a woman there clocked another one in the face and it was a big fight. I laughed out loud, because it was so odd, not that kind of place.

There are many more, trivial and not.

It was the Summer of '99. A train wreck upstream dumped 98,000 cans of Coors beer into Clark's Fork of the Columbia River. I was at a riverside wedding reception when the beer just showed up. It seemed like the whole river was nothing but cans of beer. Everybody went nuts. People were looking for anything that would float to score some free beer. The most hilarious (and happy) wedding reception ever held in Western Montana.

Yes, this REALLY happened!

One guy found a rowboat and scored 130 cases. It was in the local paper.

I sort of thought that might happen with this one: http://www.dailyinterlake.com/articles/ ... news01.txt

Apparently the scavengers came up empty handed though. :(

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', ' ')He was on the bottom and found himself surrounded by a very large school of adult salmon- 2'-3' ft long.

8O Oh man, when I used to snorkel off the coast of Monterey, any time that we were surrounded by a large school of fish we would get out of the water fast. That invariably meant there was a large predator cruising nearby.

On a different note, but also while I lived in Monterey, I saw an old Chinese taiji master do some really remarkable things. It convinced me that qi (ki for those of you with a Japanese bent) is actually a force with which to be reckoned.

Most bizarre thing I ever saw... we were sitting on chairs on the balcony in the middle of a city and saw something in the distance. My ex pointed it out and we watched it for a while. then he got binoculars and it looked like a UFO. Not joking man.

We kept an eye on it taking turns and it sat there for a good hour and a half or so before it disappeared. Its was hard to make out but looked just like a silvery UFO like on tv.

then when I went to work, all my inmates came screaming (not literally) out of the tv room to drag me in there cause one of the local stations had caught a UFO on video tape.

I went in there but it had switched back to a talking head and the footage was never seen again or commented on... that quickly it just disappeared.

Here's an example of WTF?

First, please understand I'm in my 50's, a member of the Oregon Bar, work in a professional job, been a long time since I've even had two beers in the same week, no major psychiatric problems.

I was driving south on Interstate 5 from Albany in the middle of the afternoon. As I was driving I saw what appeared to be a large jet flying over the highway (not too uncommon) but it was lower than normal. I looked up at it, saw the cylindrical airplane fuselage but then noted that it didn't seem to have any wings or tail. I immediately felt disoriented for what seemed to be a few seconds. When my head cleared I was about 10 miles away, headed east on Hwy. 20 towards Lebanon, NOT the route that I intended to drive or would have had any reason to drive. I looked at the time on the car clock, as near as I could tell it was about 90 minutes later than it should have been based on the time I left Albany and the time it takes to drive that distance.

Now there's only a few "explanations" for this event, and NONE of them are reasonable. At this time it's just filed in my head under WTF and waiting for more evidence before attempting to come up with a category to assign it to.

Did I mention this was midafternoon on Interstate 5? Not a lonely deserted road in the middle of the night? Definitely weird and unexplained, and no I don't have any seizure disorders or any type of medical or mental problem that would account for such an event. However, I do know one other person in town who has independently related a similar event in a similar location to me.

Was the clock in your vehicle on the right time when you emerged from the experience?--i.e., are you suggesting any time travel occurred or just that there is a 90 minute gap in your memory?

Boboloo, What are the "unreasonable" explanations, you refer to? We live on an odd, unreasonable planet, within a solar system that's only understood in a cursory way, in a galaxy we understand less, in a universe that will likely defy all reason in perpetuity...so, go for it.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mercurygirl', 'A')nything like this, Turtle? Not to derail, but it's worth a view.
No, this particular guy never demonstrated healing gifts, but rather martial skill.

He was 72 years old, usually half asleep, but he taught taiji on Sunday mornings to those who were interested. A young friend of mine, about 23, very athletic and a black belt in Okinawin karate asked the old guy to prove the value of what he was offering to teach us. He calmly and gently agreed.

My friend (let's call him Bob) danced about as if he were Bruce Lee. He told the taiji master (let's call him Dr. Su) to get ready. The old guy stood there without changing his stance or attitude and said that he was ready. Bob threw a half hearted side kick at Dr. Su's stomach. Dr. Su turned slightly and Bob was on the ground. Bob threw a variety of more vigorous kicks, with the same result.

Finally, in frustration, Bob proceeded to throw a chain of hard, fast punches toward the good doctor's face and chest. Afterwards, Bob told me that it felt to him as though Dr. Su's palms just floated gently up in front of him and Bob's hands just flew ineffectively toward the palms as they appeared, though he was trying his best to smash the old man in the face.

Bob stood back, panting and starting to sweat and looked at Dr. Su in confusion. The old man smiled, motioned toward Bob and told him, "Get ready." Bob stepped back and bowed to the taiji master. Afterwards, he became a very serious student of the man.

I have studied aikido for twenty years and have seen many remarkable people demonstrate an understanding of the potential of ki, but that old man so many decades ago was the most remarkable to watch.

On Christmas 1990, I watched a sattelite crash. Giant orange fireball 10x bigger than a shooting star. It was in the Newspaper the next day.

OK I got another story. This is kind of hard to describe but I'll try.

I went to party in college thrown by the Architecture dept. As EmersonBiggins will testify: The Architecture students at Oklahoma State University are a squrrily bunch. Anyways I dated one back in 92 or 93'.

They were playing some techno music at ear spliting levels with the strobe lights going. Some were indulging in contaband, I just drank their free beer. Well this weird looking guy in a wizard's costume came out and screamed: "Rabbits!". At that point, he then turned loose four or five live bunnies lifted from the vet school from under his costume. I wasn't baked or stoned but it was something sublime to watch all these lab rabbits fly all over this apartment with the stobe lights. One split second they were on a couch then they we knocking stuff off the coffee table. This went on for while as the rabbits kept darting around knocking over beer cans, cds, and other things. If that wasn't weird enough it was unnerving to have your leg quickly brushed up againts by soft furry rabbit running around trying to figure out where to go.

Most peculiar..

Look, you are either a shill, or you really aren't aware of the ufo thingy. You watch late night with artist bill?

UFO is a giant hugely funded psy operation out of southern california it started back around HG wells time with their first mass attempt at mind and thought manipulation when they discoverd people are really really stupid...

ever since then they have been building, making and funding giant psy ops programs that travel around the country with events, (special flares, rockets even high altitude jets dropping flares, electronic balloons lasers all kinds of stuff. On partly coudy days they paint lights onto the clouds with laser/compueter etc ad nauseam.

There are no area 51 aliens, these weremodels made into alien shapes and then "photographed by the janitor" and released

there are no aliens this is a joke.

you cannot traavel star to star.

they have some of the largest web sites around with buku funding and they pay their shills well.

anyone trying to sell this stuff is a letters man or a suit man.

even the guys who own the gastation at area 511 have "stories"

51 is a high tech area for mind control and for defvelopement of future technologies. they have jets that can fly mach 10 and things we dont even have a clue about.....

use your google button. watch out for the shills.
