threadbear, based on my personal experiences, and those of good friends of mine, I believe that there is substantial evidence that there are some among us who have the technology to directly interact with our consciousness at a level we cannot comprehend. Kind of like Mr. Abbott's story about flatland, it's like they can see our consciousness and manipulate it from outside in ways we can't comprehend. Now whether these folks are black ops projects, aliens, demons, angels or whatnot I don't know or claim to know, but I have observed their work several times and there is no "rational" explanation. I believe they have the ability to not be seen, not by invisibility, but by causing us not to look at them. They can alter our memories, implant false memories, issue subconscious commands.
I'm not going into detail here but when I was young I had my first experience with these folks and they really screwed me up for a long time before I was able to break through the walls they had planted in my mind and recover some of the memories. My wife and my kids have had similar experiences but it took years for us to overcome the implanted command not to discuss it.
To give you an idea of what it's like, about 15 years ago we were living in a small town, we had two small kids at the time. I woke up in the middle of the night and the room was filled with a tremendously bright light and the the house was noticeably shaking. Now, the normal reaction of a father with two small kids in the house would be to leap out of bed, grab a gun and go see what's going on. What did I do? I rolled over and went back to sleep! I carried that memory for years and one day was able to mention it to my wife. Turns out that she had the same memory but had never been able to discuss it with me either. Someone / something was able to tell me to ignore my normal reaction to protect my kids and just go back to sleep, then not discuss it with anyone.
Again, I don't have any objective evidence of who/what is behind this. I have a suspicion that it's much weirder than what we might imagine. I remember Terrence McKenna said that these folks have adopted the disguise of an extraterrestrial invasion because the truth is too weird for us to believe.
I describe myself as a skeptic, but a real skeptic, which means that I don't believe in a theory without evidence, but if I do find evidence I accept it. I know what my subjective experiences have been, but I don't have any proof of what the cause of these experiences have been. If I were a devout fundamentalist I'd blame them on demons, if I were a UFO believer I'd blame them on EBE's, but again, I suspect it's something a lot more interesting, which I hope to figure out some day.
