My father ran into one of the Rick Mercer "Talking with Americans" bits. Being somewhat of a Canuckophile and generally aware, he knew everything and spoiled his punchline. Dad asked the producer, "gonna use any of that". "Of course not". I assume they found the dolt they were looking for down the line.
That show is hilarious. Obviously edited, but still hilarious. I remember one episode where they talked to some university professors and elected officials and got some gloriously ignorant responses. Most Americans just don't know jack about Canada. I lived there for a year and I've already almost forgotten Canada exists. It's forgettable like that.
