If you could choose your last words...

Unread postby Olaf » Thu 04 Oct 2007, 12:15:52

I was motivated to post this because of a comment I saw in another thread, either PMS or Roccman, don't remember which, that addressed having pre-set 'last words'. So I thought it could be interesting to see thoughts of others. Be serious, silly, angry, whatever you want.

I'm a little agitated today, so I choose as my last words:

"Fuck you, I'm taking my ball and going home". <thud>

That was my post, Olaf, that you were referring to, and it was on the serious side. But maybe I'll hold up my feeble dying hand, point with my index finger and say, "pull my finger." btw, you might like this site of famous last words

depends on how it is to end...

If the gulag:

"Tell AP I am coming for him..."

If while having sex with my GF:

May be more of a sound than last words.

If in my garden:

"Nice!!!!!!!!!!!"

I always thought, “I told you I was sick” was good.

Or maybe,

Here lays old Pops,
He died from drinking all his crops

Or on the serious side, I hope they will want to inscribe what I did on my mothers stone:

Tiny, unremembered acts of kindness and love.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

This is Major Tom to ground control,
I'm stepping through the door.
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way,
And the stars look very different today.

For here
am I sitting in a tin can.
Far above the world
Planet earth is blue
and theres nothing I can do

Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
Im feeling very still.
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell me wife I love her very much she knows
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
