I am now back in the city after 1 week in the country, in the village from where my family originates.
That place is so far away from this "modern" world , it's almost another planet.
There is no peak oil there, no modern economy running around, no global warming, nothing.
And no TV= no news = no problems - this is for real. Who says ignoring problems does not make them disappear does not know what real ignoring is
The people who live there have no idea of the monsters that progress created in far away places, life for them is very simple, the way it always was
The village looks the same way it did 15 years ago, and I am sure that not even the collapse of the Universe cannot change it.

I meet this old lady, she is 86 years old, she told me some stories.
She says that all she does now is to remember about her youth and how, she could move around and "live", now she moves very little around the house and waits for her death - nothing sad or happy about it
