$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')hese kids have emotional problems. I saw them. But they were very receptive to my story reading. It may just be that their parents are fuck-ups who don't know how or care to love a child.
Been teaching high-school kids for 7 years, evening school. Kids were supposed to be problem kids, have been through the whole mill, school psychiatrists, family counseling, meds etc.
The students performance at high-school school improved dramatically after a few months of evening classes. I've seen kids go from D's to B's and A's.
We wondered why it was such a success and decided to ask some students.
Turned out that the school was such a success because the kids felt comfortable there. For them it was an escape from everyday harassment, a place where they were treated as normal human beings.
IMO the problem is that we have an army of shrinks, therapists, doctors, and social workers etc. out there who jump on every kid that is a little out of the ordinary and try to drPhil them. All encouraged by their loving parents.
It doesn't occur to them when you mentally turn a kid inside out and back again on a daily basis, it might have a negative impact on their behavior.
