MINOR SPOILERS
Even though the plot is about human infertility, for those of you who have seen it, couldn't you just see our future looking like it is pictured in the film. Neo-fascism, regular 'terrorist' attacks, immigrant deportation, grassroots revolution, suicide kits, and ridiculous surveillance and restrictions on the movement of people.
MORE SUBSTANTIAL SPOILERS
I really loved the scene where Theo visits his super wealthy friend and gets chauffeured in a luxury car. As the car drives into the gated enclave, we see what we can assume to be rich people listening to a band in a garden, visiting zoos, and the best part was an Arab with his camel (looked like a wealthy sheik).despite the fact that all immigrants were being rounded up. If you are wealthy in this version of London, you can still live your opulent lifestyle.
Anyway, highly recommended.
Thanks for the critique. I've heard the movie get high praise from others, but was unsure what it was about. It's not a movie best viewed at the theatre is it? Would it be just as good on video?
