The real arguement should be about what money system to choose and what resulting wealth distrubution model makes the most sense.

Who writes the stories for your eyes about the man or woman who wins the lottery and then keeps working?

I am sure we can find many more links to the loser stories rather then the winner stories as this is what dirty laundry consists of and we like dirty laundry besides the fact that we all support and are part of a power sucking system thus the increasing discrepancy between rich and poor which is an absolute proven fact that was very pronounced prior to the last depression and is very pronounced currently yet my words probably fall on deaf ears and I am nearly positive that your eyes are well glazed by now and that you may need a nappy nap 8)

Imagine my embarrassment when I realized that I was near the top of the illuminati pyramid of power which as we all know is just and true and especially so because we are the ones currently being served.

The trouble is that all money systems known to humanity (those gold based included here) are only imaginary constructs.
Whatever known currency you choose, it is only imaginary wealth.
In certain circumstances ownership of any given currency may mean huge wealth, but in other circumstances the same currency will only mean worthless electronic record, sheet of paper or a chunk of metal good for nothing.
Gold is also an imaginary wealth, as it is safe currency only for historical reasons.
There is only small "intristic" value in gold.
Actual wealth is coming from assets allowing you to influence others.
Land ownership, oil well ownership or slave ownership are good examples of such natural wealth.

Surely, but there's most definitely better models than the current one. The one we're using is probably the worst for humanity in general.

Take the demurrage currency system the egyptians used, instead of encouraging investing for the short term it encouraged investing for the long term and many of their structures still stand today.

Wouldn't give these new houses they're building 50 years to last (let alone 3000!)

I do not purport any paricular expertise in the currency related subjects, but I have some strong feeling, that hoarding of physical gold or hoarding of other simmilar commodity would quickly turn out as a hedge or "safe haven" against any demurrage currency system implemented.
Please do not suggest, that the solution would be to make gold holding illegal.
As we all know, "Solutions by Legislation" are often foolish concepts, which simply do not work.
There would be always a trend to preserve value to contend with.

Incorrect. There are plenty of much rarer things than gold.

However, gold has a lot of useful properties to use as money (hard to fake, easily divisible, lots of value in small quantities, etc). And that's exactly why it's been used as money.

Yeah I don't think we'll probably see it, unless it starts turning into a free-for-all then it's possible some creative types will step up to the plate and start experimenting with new forms of currency.

The current pattern is debt based fiat then when that turns into a problem we move to a gold standard. And then the cycle repeats...

The bankers have the majority stake control in debt based fiat and they have the majority stake control in gold. Win-win all the way. Gold is the future hedge.

I contend that the system is "rigged" to relieve us all of our money/power unless we are smart enough or lucky enough to find a safe place to put it.

The way the system is devised at this point is completely in the favor of the ultra rich/powerful.

How many business's fail because of undercapitolization?
Most of them.....
How many business's start with support from the state and the bank as if nothing could go wrong?
All of them.....

In a small sense raising the minimum wage is a redistribution of wealth until the corporations successfully pass the increase off to the public and then its nothing....no change.

So, many observe this cycle and would like to call it a "law".

Yet why would people choose to be so ignorant and assume that things can not happen any way then they have happened previously and that the system is not slanted in favor of the ones who have most of the money already which is the primary cause for this incorrect observation in the first place???

So sorry but most of the people who choose to believe this myth are either stupid or they are benefitting from the lopsidedness of the system and only pretending to be stupid.
