$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Novus', 'I') think PO will affect professional sports by increasing interest in the minor leages. It is much cheaper to go to a minor leage game then it is to watch the majors in baseball. I could see college basketball replacing the NBA as a cheaper alternative for that fanbase. Soccer could even replace football in a more powered down America.
Think about your average Major League team, Crossing the country weekly. Baseball and Basketball can go from cali to florida to Dallas to NY all in a week. Huge travel expenses.
I have decided one of the main areas to watch is transportation. Airline, bussing company and freight companies. Sports franchises are a good periphery industry to watch. When the mom and pops of these industries start selling or closing in droves, then the minor players are squeezed out and the big boys are crying for government subsidies, thats the time to really get your bags packed and guns loaded. The first worst is about to hit the fan, then it just keeps getting harder from there.
That was a good read, though I am really hoping for more time to get set up, damn PO came too soon for me, or I found out about it too late maybe. I need 3-5 years lol. Looks like it wont be too long before its main stream and common knowledge. Thats when it starts to get scary. When pple realize they have nothing to lose and nothing to live for, watch out!
