well, that's the curious thing. He things (he's very religious and she claims to be) that he will go to hell for it. He thinks he is giving up eternal life by living in sin with this woman. He has asked her to leave 4 times and she starts crying and praying, and he gives in. She claims she really does love him after knowing him for 3 months.

No you can't take it with you but if he has 20 years left (his father is still alive at 91) and she takes him money, then he is going to be stuck on welfare. So its not just an issue of taking it with you its keeping it so he can live comfortably the rest of his life.
