I have already mentioned why I would and will always stay single and never hook up (it was in single post thread). Let me repeat what I said in that other thread. I have many sisters that have pulled stunts on men that would leave you in tears. They suck those poor souls dry and leave them to rot! They take advantage of child support as well as many other things that would be too long to post. My mom is the same way. Been married more than several times. When my dad was older she sold all the farm land and kicked him to the curb. Come to find out that she hooked up with a guy 20 years younger than him and my dad was left to financial ruin. The courts would give all the power to the women and we never got to see our father but a couple days a month. I worked at a steel company that handled irrigation and light poles. I was working in the computer room and would print out pay stubs and let me tell you that what I saw would scare the living hell out of you. I couldn't believe that these poor guys were living off of thirty dollars a week. Most of their money was going to child support and I will tell you that these poor saps have nothing to show forth. They feel and look miserable. I have observed and studied people for the most part of my life and what women do with this new power is abuse. Hardly will I ever see true love. It is rare and your lucky if you can achieve this. The cost can be immeasureable if you don't really look hard at the true nature of a person. There are very good women out there but I am going to give you my opinion. They are monsters and they are the root of all that is evil. I know I am going to be flamed for this but I want to say this from the bottom of my heart. I just have seen to much ugliness.

It's not even feminism. It's just that no one wants an obnoxious goon.
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Yes, but the difference between an obnoxious goon and a sarcastic goon could be no more than looking good in a pair of jeans. Ever think of that? hmmm? 8)

Good dodge, Wednesday! This is a virtual community and for me, you are the "sweetheart de jour". Keep on loving and keep on keeping on. In June, 2006, your husband is a lucky man.

Thank you. He's far from perfect, but he's a really great guy. I'm the lucky one and that's the truth.

You're fun to talk to, PMS.

The lucky person in a relationship is the person who thinks they are lucky. Because they are happy. its the ones who are never happy once they get what they want that will never be happy.

I am watching something pertinent unfold in my life.

I know this guy he's 67, just burried his second wife in mid Feb. Now a gold digger was apparently scouting him and has moved in with him along with her two children. She is a single parent who is 31 years younger than he is.

I have told him that by law, once they have lived together for 6 months they are considered common-law. This means she can get child support and 50% of his estate. On top of it all any house is considered the childrens residence and usually goes to the mother because they are the ones who take care and keep the kids.

He took my advice and went to see his lawyer to do a pre-nuptual agreement. She has agreed to sign stating that she gets what ever house she is in, the car she's driving and compensation for the furniture she will loose, as long as she stays married to him for 10 years.

His house is worth half a million. She wants him to sell it and move to the middle of nowhere leaving his friends, family and his church of 20 years. She is six years younger than his oldest daughter. The entire church and his family are totally against this. So are her parents.

Is she a gold digger or is he just some selfish bastard that is just wanting a woman (any one will do which is why he can replace his wife of 20 years within two months of her death) to service his needs?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kam30en', 'M')y last girlfriend (not surprisingly) dumped me when I started up with the "crazy talk". Are there any sites anyone knows of to meet peak oil aware women? Are there even any peak oil aware women?

I'd start stockpiling dental floss now. If you can maintain pre-peak standards of personal grooming into the post peak era, I'll guarantee they'll come a runnin'.

Judge not lest ye be judged. It's none of your business. If they're both happy with the situation, good on them. They're both adults. Just accept.

Cluck.

At the Age of 67 if he gets a few more years of hapiness with her it will have been worth it, no matter what her motivation. You cant take it with you and its none of our business.
