$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dissimulo', 'L')et's not forget that man is the most effective predator ever to walk the earth. If you take a lion or a tiger and put it in a cage, it might act like a pet and it might get fat living the easy life. If you don't feed it for a few weeks, you can bet the keeper and then the smaller lions and tigers will be on the menu.
Today, there are about 6.5 billion super-predators living in various degrees of domestication. I, for one, would prefer they stay that way.
yeah man can be vicious, but end of day we're alot more related to frugivorous chimps than we are carniverous lions.
anyway, i see what your saying about declining resources. the depression was ended by the New Deal. The new deal was basically oil.
however this time i think the race will be saved by another new deal.
its gonna suck alot more than the last new deal though. as its going to consist of population reduction and a real cut in comfort and quality of life. (perhaps understatement)
point is, big changes, either positive or negative, are change nontheless. adaptation is not easy, but i see it happening.
