$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('FairMaiden', 'I')'m not anti-semitic but it IS true that Jews slaughtered Slavic ppl. Like the Bush "you are with us or against us" mentality - the Jews have somehow distracted the Western world from that fact. It doesn't mean I hate Jews or wish them harm...I do know that its true tho. The Jewish ppl have a way of story telling...I have relatives that lived in Germany during Hitler's time and they feared for lives as well. Seems we've forgetten that along with Jews the Halocaust also affected political dissenters, homosexuals and anyone considered different from the Arayan ideal. Yet, it seems to have become the Jewish halocaust alone...and my relatives time it was a property seizure - for their wealth more so and their religious origins less so. Funny how facts get twisted...
Regardless, it seems silly to care about a tax credit...we'll see if they bite or not.
You may or may not be anti-semitic, but you strengthen the view that humanity is dumber than yeast. Careful you don't graze your knuckles dragging them about the place.
The Jews did not slaughter Slavs, they have never slaughtered anyone in modern European history (nor ancient European history either so far as I am aware). I have no idea where you could have picked up this nonsense from.
The "Holocaust" (not Halocaust, you ignorant monkey) was a singulalarly vicious attempt to rob an entire culture and obliterate it from the face of history. In large stretches of Europe it was pretty successful.
I believe the Russians bear a grudge against the Jews, and probably the West in general, for not recognising the immense Russian loss in the battle against Naziism. They have a point. The Red Army lost seven million troops killed in action, the Russian civilian population lost approx. 20 million either murdered or starved to death or killed in the fighting.
Arguably Western Europe would never have been freed had the Red Army not first inflicted millions of casualties on the Wehrmacht, rendering it too weak to resist the invasion in the West. This is plausible, since it is out of the question that either Britain or the USA would have accepted 4-5 million war dead in a straight head-to-head in Western Europe.
There is an interesting lesson from history from the Holocaust that is pertinent to Peak Oil, although I have not seen it commented upon elsewhere. The Nazis plundered an almost unbelievable amount from the Jews of Europe. Ii has been estimated to be as high as seven billion dollars in 1940s money. To give you some idea of how much that was, the Manhattan Project cost about two billion dollars, creating in the process an industry as large as the entire US auto industry was at that time.
With resources like that, and the great manpower of Europe to draw on, how could the Germans fail to win the war? The answer is in energy - they never had enough oil. Their maximum output was 80 million barrels per year, only as much as the world uses now in just ONE DAY. Having vast monetary resources is not enough if you don't have the chemical energy that enables industrial expansion via mechanisation. The German Army was largely horse-drawn in Russia. They were reduced to the pace of Napoleon's Grand Armee for the lack of oil. By the end of the war, Naziism was a slave empire just like the Roman Empire. All their miracle weapons: the Me262, the V2 and the Type 21 U-boat, they were all mass-produced by slave labour.
For comparison, the US produced at that time probably more than ten times as much oil. The US manpower was tiny by comparison to Europe, but with copious energy and a better understanding of mass production, the US vastly out-produced Germany and Japan combined.
