Turns out this season's story was a plot designed to secure oil for the U.S.

Not necessarily, you can believe the war in Iraq is for oil without believing in peak oil.

I bet 24's writers are just playing on that and saying the US is greedy.

Well if it wasn't for PO, then the US could still produce as much as she wanted, but that's not the case.

I love this episode. It seems very close to real life. There are no more David Palmers in the world that have any control of the politics, economics, etc. Only scum run the WH and DC. They look out what's best for their legacy and not for what this country truly needs. I see myself as a lazy Jack Bauer. Any Audrey Raines out there? Please, no Chloes, I hate that psycho bitch.

After that line came out regarding oil, I turned to the kid and said "See, i told you it was all about oil." He chuckled and admitted I was right. Wow.

I'll take Chloe in a second, Audrey Raines is the psycho bitch. I'll put Chloe to work hacking the world's bank accounts and help me post images to the board. ;-)

I found myself really bored one night and jaunted off on a search for nude pix or videos of Chloe. Yeah, that Chloe. I found none. She's just so....so....mousey. It's intoxicating. (OK, now I'm stealing lines from Seinfeld).

Well I'm married but I'll pass on a observation for you young bucks. I think the first episode of this season answered that with Chloe it's not a matter of "If" but with "Whom".

Also she was pretty clingy of Chase's baby last season so fair warning fellas-the clock is ticking. I'll bet this was Edgar's last thought as he was choking on the syntox gas as he realized the answer of the "Not if but Whom" question. Only then does he realize that successful fertilization and his name on the title to a 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage house in Redondo Hills was the key to his sexual release that has been building between those two for the last 4 seasons..

Anyways, the oil. I can't believe they blew up the fuel truck!!! I understand they have carte blance on property damage but with a national emergency and gas at $3 a gallon how could you? Come on Jack! Check your fire!!!
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
