$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Pops', 'A')ctually, what I see on this site IS mostly solutions.
For some the solution is a new technology, for some it is another AK, for others its conservation, and for still others its greater independence. I think the solutions are as varied as the experiences of the people who propose them.
From what you've revealed of your history, Pops, I think that you are way ahead of the rest of us in accepting Peak Oil and responding in a productive way.
Sometimes it's best NOT to jump right into solutions, and that's why I think the free-form debate and emoting on the board is necessary now. It's still early in the process. Before we can really get behind solutions, we need to figure out what the problems are. We need to throw out crazy ideas and see what they look like. Be angry and regretful and gloomy and hopeful.
It's as if we are waking up from a dream.
Eventually, one gets tired of debating the basics and finds that it is time to move on. Then one can join with people of like mind and start working on solutions.
