$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lokutus', 'R')uppert loses some cred when he talks about who was "really" behind 911. He did it briefly last night.
911 and Peak Oil need to be treated as two seperate topics if you want the public to listen without rolling their eyes at the conspiracy nuts.
Lokutus (of Borg),
I think that depends on the audience. He might with you (depending on how you feel about 9/11) or with a more mainstream audience but with the C2C audience, it probably helped him.
Most of them are members of the "conspiracy tribe" if you know what I mean. (I'm a member myself, to be clear). So if Mike says he believes a conspiracy took place, that makes him "one of us" in the eyes of the C2C audience.
As an example, Alex Jones, king of the crazy conspiricy theories, is one of C2C most popular guests. Point is, if a guest holds mainstream beliefs about 9/11, the average C2C listener will say to themselves, "aha, he's just covering up for the NWO/Illuminati!!!"
If the guest believes 9/11 was an inside job, the same person will think "well at least he's not a shill for the NWO-Illuminati-Reptoids from Zeta Riticulae (sp?)."
Best,
Matt
