$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('RedJake', 'I') watched 1984 at the weekend too! I think this is the scenario which will most likely play out, sadly. Brilliant film though. Watched Clockwork Orange too (I was on my own this weekend.) Ultra violent. Ultra strange. really good film.
PMS yes we Brits are full of guilt. Blushy faces were meant to express that so you got it right. It is immoral to like a trashy film, especially when you've criticised it in the past thinking you know what you're talking about.
Why didn't anyone correct me I wonder.
Want to see Mad Max 1 now. I am quickly becoming a geek. I don't care.
Remember Woody Allen and the Sleeper? Does that class as sci fi?
You remind me of myself in my 20's. If you like these kinds of movies check out
www.futuristmovies.com. Woody Allen was at the top of his game in the early 70's. I collect old 60's and 70's sci fi DVD's check out the old THX-1138 and then watch the special edition version the DVD has many bonuses including some stuff Lucas did in college. Before Jurassic park Crighton came out Andromeda Strain and Westworld. Also Special edition of Escape from NY(alternative beginning), Solyent Green, Outland, Logan's Run, Zero Population Growth, if 1984 was your bag you might try Brazil. I also have all 48 episodes of Space:1999 in my stash.
I read Clockwork Orange back in college after memorizing then entire movie. The dialect is sort of a future mod english and it's tougher to read than shakespeare. FYI-Remember the big bodyguard with the glasses at the old mans house? That was David Prowse AKA Darth Vader.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
