$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Ludi', 'M')y husband and I are very much in favor of the vasectomy! Surely one of the miracles of modern medical science.

Absolutely the best. Complete and utter freedom without worries, at least for a monogamous couple. I highly recommend the "Open End" variety, which can be hard to find but well worth it in avoiding potential complications of the traditional "closed on both ends" variety. I live in progressive CA, and even so, I had to drive 8 hours 1 way to get the procedure. Not cheap either, but it was the best money I ever spent. Do the homework, you'll find out what I mean.
Now, as for other "romantic" preparations, what kinds of things do couples enjoy that will be hard to find after a crash? A quality lube like AstroGlide? (never cared for KY). Silicone toys that are easy to sterilize? Books and magazines? Rechargable batteries for toys that go "bzzzzzz" and a solar charger for them? Replacement toys (they tend to last only a year or two). Time to start stockpiling, perhaps!
Let's face it, when the networks are off the air, the bars and restaurants are closed, and the newspapers stop being delivered, a board game can only hold your attention just so long, and people do get bored. However there's one activity that seemingly enjoys perrenial interest...
Best of all it is free and requires no electricity!! Although electricity can be fun too....
