$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Eli', 'Y')ou know what energy spin.
If I had not read this report and found it on other sites and if I did not know first hand that it is an actual report to the DOE. I would dismiss your link as a phony conspiracy theory.
Strange days indeed.
I'm the least inclined in this forum to resort to conspiracy theories.
Heinberg wrote the article in
EnergyBulletinI downloaded the Hirsch Report a few months ago and frankly lost it in my monster hard disks. I tried to locate the report for a friend 10 days ago and could not find it so at first I thought that my "googling" capabilities deteriorated. Apparently others had the same problem, so I feel sane
The social-scientist within keeps circulating a scenario that involves 1984 (a world of scarcity) and a paragraph from an economics article I read (and posted earlier today)
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'F')red Hirsch (1976), in his book “Social Limits to Growth”, emphasizes the role of relative social status by calling attention to “positional goods” which, by definition, cannot be augmented because they solely rely on not being available to others. This theme was taken up
by Frank (1985, 1999) who argues that the production of positional goods in the form of luxuries, such as exceedingly expensive watches or yachts, is a waste of productive resources, as overall happiness is thereby decreased rather than increased.
Maybe the lack of preparation for PO or Peak Energy is intentional .... then whoever is in power can still maintain control over the masses and the social status by maintaining an average (compared to today's standards) while everyone else is dumpster diving. F..k doomerosity level went to 5-6 for the second time today
