Means the recession will start, people will quit their jobs (300-187=unsustainable) or spend more of their income in gas than in anything else, that will slow down everything, and... You know the end(s) of the story...
Oh! To me ?! Nothing... I go to work by tube, go to bars by tube or buses, only use my car to get out of the city once in a while. My heating is electric - nuclear would say some... - so is my kettle, I only use natural gas to cook my pasta à la bolognaise or my gratin dauphinois (with some reblochon cheese in it, supreme !) but that's not the season, now time's for fruits and crude vegetables, salads...
It will be hard to find plastic bags at the supermarket too, but I have my Provençal handmade ones... Everything will cost some more, from the tomatoes from marocco to the tinned tomatoes from China, except maybe the local production (Europe).
I'll buy a bike too, especially if there are less cars and only-biking streets as there are in Amsterdam - bikers vote too...
Actually, we're gonna step back to the past, when cars were rare - you could hear them coming from far ! - and awaited by all the kids of the town, when you lived close to your workplace - or fields - when you used trains to travel, when you can still see in town horses, donkeys and cattle - would an electric car cost more than a pair of donkeys ? Really no idea...
Of course, this may happen ONCE we got over the crisis...
