$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('careinke', '
')Oh a couple of more things to be happy about. My oldest son just had an interview for a supervisor position at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard, he feels very good about the interview. My youngest just bought a 22ft Fishing boat with that comes with a nice trailer. He says time to move on from speed boats.
Peace
It is sort of noticeable in its absence, that we don't talk about kids around here. Particularly considering the age demographics in those of us who were around during the many faux-dooms of the early 21st century (my favorite is still Planet X and Yellowstone going BOOM!).
My daughter is a blue flame career special, got 2 bachelor degrees in 8 semesters, went into the job market in Covid summer, turned that into a beginner spot at a publically traded multinational, went back to night school to get her masters, moved out, moved back in to save for the house, bought the house, got her Masters and changed jobs to another commercial real estate company to work with a CPA to then get hers. Don't need no man, demanded her old man teach her to ride a motorcycle, which he did,

she bought her own within 6 months and rides to work, is busy flying around the country on weekends to book shows with her college roommates, getting her CPA tests lined up, just whirlwind shit. Exhausting to keep up with, these young folks.
The boy became some kind of accountant/computer geek, got his masters immediately after, internship first summer out of school, then a real world job for 7 months, a week after they laid off all their new accountant/computer types he gets an interview and job with a medical/hospital organization with like 30,000+ employees, for better money and opportunity than before and tomorrow is his first day in office. He's been on a motorcycle since he was 16 years old, and 1 day. A stay at home type, he'll be taking care of my wife after I'm dead most likely. No boats anywhere in the family, although I've used an Alden ocean shell to exercise with for a while after college.
Both of them have passed their fathers "handgun qualified" training, as just something all children should learn.
Its good when parents have kids to be proud of.
