Yep. Like basic grammar.

It's like a parody for ignorance. Except that it's unconscious. Witness a huge proportion of internet chat.

Remember that observatory in the SW that was shut down by the FBI a few months ago? Anyone ever get a credible explanation of that earthly mystery?

I too am a believer. Along with the resounding case of ancient aliens, we have a definite coverup by the US govt of the ET phenemenon. Plus so much sightings
Why should we be so special? In a incredibly vast and old Universe, the probability is high of other sentient life forms

NASA scientists finally analyzed all the data and found that it's indeed a spaceship. It has approximately 4.000 cabins and several huge duty-free shops. Most aliens go on these trips to get drunk before noon and then have sex with strangers. For elderly passengers there are bingo nights. Nobody paid any attention to Earth. Another mystery solved.

Good, dry sarcasm. Sadly, it won't help change the mind of the true believers any more than science or logic. But still funny.

(As an old guy who doesn't like bingo, I guess I'm screwed, right?)

It was supposed to be a joke, re the common perception that Bingo is what old people want to do, or worse, that it (and perhaps shuffleboard) is all they can do. It's so 1970's.

What is “old” anyway? I recently read an article that said your mental attitude can physically improve your health, if you think young you stay younger. So I’m upping my game, I’ve always look at myself as a 16 yo, now I’m moving it to 12.

Well, I try to be realistic instead of delusional. I play some younger peoples' games and interact with a fair amount of young people due to those games. I don't give up and say "woe is me" because college was 4 decades ago. But, OTOH, these days I don't try to bench press over twice my weight and risk serious injury, the body being less able to deal with physical intensity like that than it was when I was a lot younger.

To me it's about balance, and remembering there's no reason one can't have lots of fun and enjoy life, even if one's body insists on doing that at a more subdued pace.

There you go being reasonable. LOL.

My 50th year HS Reunion was just announced. That will be interesting.

Back in topic I guess we will never know for certain what this object that passes us was for certain. The disk like solar sail sounds intriguing.
